1st Day of School

Light dawned bright and early for the kiddo's this morning. The morning they have been dreading since the last day of school in May. The 1st day of school. Getting them up wasn't bad at all, of course I didn't have to get Carter up and that makes all the difference in the world. Morgan & Shade have always been really easy to get up and get going for school. Carter, on the other hand, is a nightmare. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, that nightmare will wait at least one more day as Carter is down with pneumonia. I think we are past the fever stage, but he has these couphing fits that go on forever. Last night we had to have him get in our shower to get them to stop. I'm thinking the school won't appreciate me sending him like that. Shade and Morgan got ready pretty fast. I could see Shade was a little nervous to start 10th grade in the new high school. He proved it when I tried to get him to smile for the camera so that I could take a picture. After some coaxing from me he finally said, "just take the picture, this is not a good day!" I asked him why it wasn't a good day and he informed me because it was the first day of school. NOT COOL! I asked him if he was nervous on the drive into school and he said he was. It's hard to believe he is in 10th grade. Morgan is just excited to be in 7th grade. The oldest in the middle school, the TOP DOG, so to speak. She looked so grown up and cute this morning.

Shade said he was tardy in most of his classes today because the school is so big and he had to find his classes. Morgan says she has quite a few kids she knows in her class, one of them being the BOY she likes. She said her teachers are pretty cool so far.

Shade (see no smile), Shawn made him go get a hair cut after school.Morgan, at least she is smiling.

Aspen, yes those are my flip flops. She had to get in the action also.
