Granite Hotsprings

This weekend we went with Tim & Kristy Thomas and Corey & Charlotte Foster and families to Granite Hotsprings in Wyoming. We had a great time and it was so relaxing. I think it was a lot harder on Kristy because she organized the whole thing. Shawn & I are the corn hole champions. That is a game kind of like beanbag toss. 2 people play on each team with 4 people playing. There is 2 boards with a hole in them, that each team tries to toss the bean(corn) bag into. We were undefeated! We also went swimming alot at the hotsprings. The kids had a blast. Aspen pulled around 2 life jackets the whole time saying that they were her horsies. She would take them out on the side and open the gate in the imaginary coral and get them. At camp as we were sitting around the fire, she came over licking her finger and asked if I wanted and icecream. I said yes, I wanted a strawberry one. She went over to a towel hanging from a tree to dry and after looking at for a few seconds touched it and brought back my imaginary icecream. When everyone else around the camp caught on she was getting icecream for everyone. Each time she would go over to the towel, look at it then touch it. It wasn't until later as I was sitting in another spot where I could see the towel that I saw the towel had all different kinds of icecream (sundaes, cones, banana splits, etc) emboideried on it. Each time she went over she would look at those pictures then choose one. This ended up going on the rest of camp. As we were leaving everything had been packed up and I was taking her to the bathroom. As we were walking she said "Stop! You stepped on the icecream store!" As I apologized she said, "that's ok, I will fix it" and proceeded to build it (imaginarily of course) back up. What an imagination that girl has.

There is a waterfall we went to. At the base, across the swift water is a hotspot. Some of the more daring (mostly kids) crossed to sit in it. The rest of us stayed on the safe side. Then there was Shawn, Corey & Tim who had to take life by the horns and climb up the water fall. Shawn lost one shoe so he sent the boys down the river to look for it. They didn't find it, but had fun looking. We took some pictures on the falls before we left. I guess you can snowmachine up to the hotsprings in the winter and the adults are already talking about doing that. It would be a lot of fun.
