Last night I hosted BUNCO at my house. The party started at 7:00 pm but for me it started Tuesday with some heavy duty cleaning. It's good that I do this once a year then I can call it my bi-annual cleaning. I got my office de-junked and organized. Aspen's room more organized. Things washed that needed it, and some major league dusting done. Yesterday I spent most of the day in Idaho Falls shopping for groceries and prizes. Morgan was such a good help with everything. She helped me make salsa, put together shish kabobs, cut watermellon and everything else that needed doing. For dinner we had BBQ ribs, shrimp & chicken shish kabobs, pasta salad, corn on the cob, watermelon & salsa. It was really yummy, the trick was trying to have it all ready and hot at once. For desert we were supposed to have homemade icecream but it didn't work so we roasted smore's over the fire. After we were all done playing we sat around the fire and gabbed. As if we don't get enough of that playing for two hours. Anyway it was a fun night, and after the clean-up this morning I'm glad I only have to host it once a year.

Daisy in the daisys

This week we had 2 more stray dogs show up putting our numbers at 5. We had to make the decision to give some away. I put an ad in the paper and was able to find homes for Lily our black lab and Daisy our yellow lab. Even though I have never really bonded with them it was heart breaking to let them go. Especially Daisy as she watched us drive away trying to follow us. It about made me cry. We decided to keep Ellie because I think she would be a lot harder to give away as she is kind of a mutt. Plus we really like her. The 2 new strays are a black lab and a brown dog. I have given the black lab away but every time it's time to take her to her new home she disappears. I am not sure what we are going to do with the brown dog.


Wow, I wonder who is lucky enough to have this hot guy as their husband. Oh, that would be me! This is picture Berta took while fishing with the guys last week. Pretty Hunky!
