Terrible Twos

Can a child hit the "terrible twos" in a day? Holy cow Aspen has just today decided to whine about everything. "I don't want to watch that." "Not Dora." "Not Diego". "I don't want noodles, or pizza, or pudding". "I don't want to go inside". I can't seem to make her happy. I held her and snuggled till she went to sleep. Hopefully she wakes up in a better mood. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt today and HOPE she still might not be feeling great. She threw up all day yesterday, including twice in her car seat. Talk about feeling helpless as you are driving down the road with her strapped in and it hits. Yikes what a mess. We went outside for a little bit and played with the horses. She likes to lead them as much as she likes to ride, which resulted in one of her tantrums when it was time to put the lead rope away. Baily, the yearling, is so curious. He kept wanting to take a bite out of her coat and boots.

Shawn is doing a couple of bids today for landscaping. This year is going to be so tight. There just doesn't seem to be any work, and what there is everyone is bidding really low. Hopefully we can hang in there until things with the economy get a little better. I feel blessed that we are where we at. I think there are a lot of other companies that are not as stable as we are. Thankfully we have not been to extravagant in our spending over the past few years when things were so good.
