Frazzled Mom (Soccer Mom)
Whoever coined the term "Soccer Mom", must not have had kids in drivers ed, volleyball & baseball. Oh, and a husband that likes to fish. It should be something like "Frazzled Mom". This morning Shawn got up at 3:30 a.m. and tiptoed thru the house, trying not to wake me, on the way to go fishing at Jackson Lake. (Which by the way he told me at 10:00 last night he was not going). I was able to go back to sleep until the alarm woke me at 5:30 telling me it was time for Shade to get up for drivers ed. Halaleua s.p. his friend was driving this morning so I was able to a few more Z's before getting the rest of the family up at 7:00 to make it to Morgan's volleyball game at 8:30. Whew. Was able to watch her 1st game, which she won, before taking Carter to baseball practice at 9:30, then tracking down Shade at the highschool. After drivers ed he went running with his friend who is in track. When he got in the car his first words were, "I hate track". I would have to agree with him there. They ran from the highschool to the Sugar City Cemetary and back (about 8-9 miles). For someone that has only done conditioning for baseball & football that's pretty good I'd say. He did say he thought he was going to die, he was huffing & puffing so hard, and he only tripped over his feet about 4 times. Anyway, I took the boys back to watch Morgan's next game (which she won) before running them home, grabbing a sandwich & running back into town to get Carter from practice and watch Morgan's last game which she also won. Whew! Home again, found the cat, who is pregnant, to make sure she didn't have her kittens somewhere in the snow, put some wood on the fire and tried to take a nap. Ring, Ring, Ring. Hello! Try to sleep, "Mommy I need to go potty". "Mommy read this to me". No nap. Whipped up some cream puffs (which I have never made before), used wheat flour & pretty sure that's not going to work. Yep, hard as rock just as I suspected. Note to self don't use wheat flour in cream puffs. So here I am taking my turn on the computer as Shade just got himself a facebook page, and believes himself to be quite popular, so he is always checking it to see who his new friends are. Actually he's not nearly as bad as Morgan when it come to that. Anyway, I haven't been to a soccer game yet so I am officially changing the name.
