I have been trying to figure out how I can sneak all of these pictures in that I haven't blogged but are such an important part of what happens in our lives on a day to day basis. I have decided that once a week I am going to pick some random happening in our lives. Pictures that are sitting in my archives wanting to be shared. So here is my first pick. We all know Shawn loves to fish, or should I say LIVES to fish. It is what he does to relieve stress, take a break, spend time with friends & family, or get away to be by himself. This past Christmas he asked for a camera of his very own so that he could keep it with him and take some pictures. It has been great when he remembers to take it
Shawn and Swede Wilson ice fishing at Hebdon Lake, Montana

Shawn did a lot of ice fishing this past winter. Usually in the winter he is pretty busy with construction projects or other things going on. This past winter with the economy, we didn't have much going on so he took the time to fish, fish, fish.
Shawn & Ben Jensen at Hebdon Lake, Montana

Shawn went over to Jackson Lake in Wyoming several times. He never could catch the big lake trout that he heard about but he sure had fun trying. Because the lake is in Wyoming in the park, they had to have special certifications on the snow machine. So instead of taking that they took the sled and pulled it with man power onto the lake. I think this is an awesome picture with the tetons in the background. It shows just how far they have to walk to get where they want to be.

This summer he has also spent quite a bit of time fishing on the South Fork & the Henrys Fork of the Snake River. It has been a really good year for fishing. The water must be perfect, because he has caught some really nice fish, and alot of them. Last week it was a miserable day for any of us normal people, but a PERFECT day for fishing. Shawn & his buddies Ben Jensen & Jared Luthy took off for the river. Rain was literally dumping buckets, but they could care less.

Shawn was supposed to pick Shade up from the gym. When he was an hour late I called him to see what was up. His answer was "well he will have to wait a little longer, Jared just hooked into a 26" brown!" What could I say, I went to get Shade myself. It's not everyday or even every year you catch a fish like that.
