Several of our family members found ourselves out to mom's for some reason or another this weekend. Aimee was there for her 20 year class reunion, the rest of us just to visit. We decided to hike up to Cedar Falls. I have never hiked it, but my brothers have all been up there lots. Aaron actually asked Emeral to marry him up there. Anyway, normally this time of year the falls would be down to a trickle, but because of the high water it was still gushing. The hike was about a 2-3 mile hike and very beautiful. Just perfect for the kids.
The water was coming right out of the mountain so the guys had themselves a drink of really, really COLD water.

Aspen was pooped so we didn't go clear to the top, instead we sat down about 100' below the falls and watched.
Carter got stung by a wasp right above his right eye brow just as we were leaving home Friday night. By Saturday his whole face was swolen, with both eyes closed.

Shade was having a good time as usual teasing Reuben. He picked a flower and got down on one knee to ask him to marry him. That really made Reuben mad. Of course Shade got quite a kick out of it.
