Date Fishing

A few weeks ago Shawn came home and said lets go fishing. It was about 80 degrees outside and a perfect fall day, so I dropped everything, took Aspen to Jenaees and off we went. We took the jet boat up from Wolf's Eddy (that's the boat dock) and hit some of the gravel bars. We had a great time and caught lots and lots of fish. At least I did, Shawn got us into one gravel bar that was do deep and fast for the anchor to hold us. He had to sit and hold the boat for about an hour while I literally slayed the fish. We had to wait for a bit for the clouds to roll over, but when the skies cleared the fishing was amazing. Shawn was able to cast and catch a few and we had a great time.
Ignore the hair, pretty scary Huh! I can't help it when your going 30 mile and hour up the river. Not much I could do to contain it. But hey, when you are catching fish who cares right?
You can see Shawn trying to hold the boat and scout out the fish, before casting.
