The other family tradition we have is to return to Grandpa & Grandma's house after the long hot parade and cool down on the slip and slide. The hill in front & back of their house makes it perfect for a slide. So with a hose & a bottle of soap away they go. This year they even stole a couple of grandpa's garbage bags to make themselves go faster. What fun to be a kid. We sure missed both grandmas this year. Grandma Alice just got home from the hospital 2 days earlier from emergency surgery for a blood clot in her leg. She wasn't able to be left alone for to long so Grandma Berta stayed with her. It made it so things didn't quite feel right.
Grandpa had a little to much fun with the "cold" hose as they went by.

Aspen could never quite get the superman thing down, but she was the 1st one on and the last one off.
