Down

OK, so maybe I do have some of those depressive tendencies. I am a MESS. My family walks on egg shells around me, which doesn't make them to happy. Shawn especially is trying to figure out how to act or what to do. All I want to do is stay in bed. Everything I do is so hard & I feel so inadequate & dependent. I cry over everything & I'm not sure how to pull myself up. I told myself to get up this morning and I even cleaned (which means I rolled around in the wheel chair and slowly picked things up off the floor). That being done, I really need to do some work on the computer, but I just want to go back to bed.

So sorry to hear you're down in the dumps! Can we please FORM A CLUB because I'm right there with you! 4-5 days after leaving your house, I came down with Shawn's bronchitis and have been 'down for the count' since Conference Sunday!!!!! Today is Monday and I feel NO IMPROVEMENT!!!!! Just wrote Bob an email telling him I'm starting a downward spiral!!!!!!!!!! I'm with ya girl.

HOWEVER, when I start feeling DOWN, I think of my neighbor Elaine Archibald who just underwent BRAIN SURGERY for a malignant tumor and her prognosis is NOT good - THEN, what I have doesn't seem SO BAD. I think PATIENCE and getting out into the fresh air is the BEST medicine for wanting to go back to bed. You have to remember you've GONE 100 miles an hour on any given day - and now you have to RETHINK your situation. I know you don't understand 'SLOW' but it may be something you need to 'learn'!

  3. i think sometimes it's okay to just do nothing and lay in bed. you've been through a super hard thing... it's not like you have no excuse. and it's okay to be sad sometimes. that's what i think anyway. don't beat yourself up... that's satan telling you that you're inadequate. you are like, the hardest working woman i know. that's probably why you're beating yourself up about taking this time off, you're used to being go go go. in other words... don't worry about it. go easy on yourself. i'm giving you permission. haha. things will look up soon :) love ya.
