Our 4th of July weekend was spent in Helena Montana at a baseball tournament for Shade. It was very hard because we have lots of 4th of July traditions in our family, even more than Christmas I think. All of Shawn's brothers and sisters were home except Griffen so we missed visiting with them. We always go to the parade and play in the water at Boices afterward. We missed that. I think next year we will veto any 4th of July tournament. We were able to stay at Rob & Debbie Hunsakers home in Helena. It was fun being able to visit with them. We got home about 2:00 am on Sunday. I had to teach the combined young women lesson so I had to get up and go to church. After church we decided to run up to Alpine Wyoming and get some fireworks. That is our big tradition that we were really missing out on. Every year we go up and buy the big fireworks that aren't supposed to be shot in Idaho without a license. Then the whole family and some friends come out and we have a BBQ and light them off. We had everyone over for some burgers and had a great firework show. The kids are getting old enough that they want to be involved in lighting them. We had as much fun watching them scatter as watching the fireworks.
