Heart Squeeze

You know the feeling you get sometimes when you look at your kids, or your husband or something special? Kind of like the feeling you get when the Holy Ghost touches you? Not the tingles from the bottom of your toes, but the heart squeeze. The one when you think if I could just hold this moment forever it would be perfect.

I had that moment last week as I was watching my kids swim at the hotel in Boise. It was just Shade and Aspen this time and unlike the "mosh pit" the pool was most of the weekend with most of 2 baseball teams staying, there were not to many kids in the pool. I was watching my 1st baby -Shade as he and a friend were talking and messing around. There was a cute girl in the pool and as I watched them talk their eyes kept darting around making sure to keep the girl in sight. It was sooo funny, I couldn't help laughing to myself. Then as I turned to watch my last baby-Aspen singing "Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho let's do the pirate dance" and doing twirls in the water. Then builidng imaginary buildings on the side of the pools with imaginary blocks, I got the "FEELING". The "heart squeeze", the one that almost brings tears to your eyes. I love my kids so much, they complete my life from my 1st baby to the 2 in between to my last, I don't know what I would do without them. I wish I could just hold them forever and protect them from the world and all it's hurts, like losing the championship game. But then, how would they experience the joy of success like getting to the championship game.
