Memorial Weekend

On top of Mine Hill in Mackay, looking over the valley.

This year we invited the Fosters out to Leslie with us for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time. We drove up the Mine Hill. The kids drove the four wheelers and motor bikes. Because there was still snow up there we were not able to get clear to the top. After Shawn driving through a couple of snow drifts across the not so wide road, and straight down the side. Heart Attach time! I convinced him we were not going to be able to go any further. We went down to the bottom and the boys took turns on the four wheeler and motor bikes seeing who could get the farthest up the really steep hill. Monday we went up to Methodist Creek to the swinging tree. That is always a hit and the kids love it. No major accidents, which is saying a lot, we really are crazy when you think about swinging on that thing. We all went out and shot guns and did some fishing in the pond. It was a great weekend and the Fosters want to plan on doing it next year.

I forgot my camera so all of these pictures were taken on my video camera as still shots. Not the best resolution but you get the picture "pun intended".

Hadley and Carter getting ready to try the hill

We stopped at the spillway to the Mackay reservoir and the kids climbed all over. There wasn't water yet coming through so they went into the tubes exploring.

Neal & Jenaee came up on Monday and we all went up to the swinging tree. Neal & Reuben

The contest is always to see who can get the most twists in. I think Neal has always been the winner
