Happy Birthday Aspen

This year I decided that instead of braving the school carnival which was the night after Aspen's birthday, I would throw her a "spooky" birthday party. I just hate getting them dressed up two nights, because by the second night their costume always seems to be a little scrubby. Trick or treating day wasn't until Monday which was actually Halloween.

I guess spooky probably isn't the best description, since you can't really have a scary party for 4 year olds, but it was a lot of fun. I made lots of little Halloween snacks and we did some Halloween activities like decorating cupcakes with skeletons, and making sucker spiders. I got all of the super cute ideas off of "pinterest" which a new website that you can pin ideas found on the web. Every time we go to the grocery store and Aspen sees the piniatas she wants one. So of course we had to have a piniata. Yeah, more sweets! It is so fun to give Aspen things because she gets so excited over each present. She is so grateful for everything she gets. Unfortunately, they seem to lose that excitement the older they get.
Aspen gave a hug to all of her little friends after she opened their present. Ceasar gave her a little doll.
