TEEN-AGER!

Beautiful Morgie (photo shoot with Grandma)

Oh boy! Morgan is 13, she is officially a teenager; although she has acted like a teenager for as long as I can remember. Happy birthday Sis. It seems like just yesterday that Shawn took me for the bumpiest ride ever in the old ford truck, then I hiked over kingdom come trying to get those labor pains a little more consistent. It worked and there was my sweet 8 lb 6 oz baby girl. I loved you then and I love you now. You are such a sweet girl, (stubborn, in charge, sometimes moody), but always amazing, daughter. You are kind and generous to your friends. Your teachers love you (Student of the Year 2009), and you have the most contagious laugh on earth.

After school Morgie went over to her friend Aibrees to hang out. They made some cute hair bands. We had grandma Alice & Grandpa Bob, & Jenaee & Neal & family over for cake & ice cream. Grandma Berta was sick, so we will for forgive her absence. Morgan got some clothes and hair things for her birthday. Grandma gave her some spending money. I wanted to make a scrumpteous chocolate layer cake for her birthday, but I couldn't find the recipe I wanted, so I found a different one, and it was a flop. But the ice cream was good. My camera worked for 2 pictures. Where is grandma when you need her?Sassy MorganShe was to busy making faces to blow out the candles

  1. Thanks for sharing about Morgie. I have felt she is such a SPECIAL GIRL (young woman) for a long time. She is fiercely independent - thanks to you for letting her learn by doing. I've ALWAYS LOVED her laugh - it actually reminds me of Grandpa Ward - laughing from sheer joy - such a sign of being genuine and real. NOTHING fake about this girl - she's awesome. I loved reading your thoughts about her as well! Nice post. Sorry I missed the party - sickness hit early this year.
