OK......So you are hearing it from here first! Shade has a ....... I can't say it..... a friend that is a girl. I got it out. He says she is just a friend, but he likes her... she likes him... they hug (Shawn says it was a pretty awkward one) when he dropped her off at her house. She went with Shade, Morgan, and several other of Shade's friends snow boarding, then sat in our hot tub after. He texts her like crazy, it's all adding up to GIRLFRIEND! Yep, it's finally happened, I can only say I am so glad it has taken this long because many of his friends have been "going out" with girls since 5th grade! Her name is Ashley Grover, she lives out here by us and is a fun girl. Shade went over to her house with a bunch of friends last night to watch a movie. While Shawn & I sat in the hot tub looking at each other wondering how this came about. All we can hope for is that they won't get to serious, personally I think it is the 1st love thing, but even with those hearts can be crushed and I so don't want that for my little (6' something) boy! Here are some pictures of them sitting in the hot tub and playing in the snow. I finally had to tell them to stay in the hot tub so they all didn't get pneumonia.
First... they all ran out into the field to see who could run the furthest. I think Shade won that one.

Finally... they all laid in the snow to see who would stay there the longest. No one won this because that is when the mean ogre mom stepped in and said NO MORE!
Morgan, Ashley, Jace & Josh...I think Shade is still out in the field!
Oh MAN, don't tell me already?!? I was just telling Bob last night that within a few short years we could be great grand parents! UNTHINKABLE - so make sure those hugs are just hand shakes for awhile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
