Girls Weekend

Shawn & the boys left Friday morning for a baseball camp down at BYU, so it was just the girls for the weekend. Friday I picked Morgan up from the bus & we went into town to do some Christmas shopping. Morgan wanted to pick a little something up for her friends & I thought it was high time I started shopping. First we went to Walgreens & I realized immediately that this was a bad idea. The second we walked into the store Aspen had a toy picked out, which she insisted she needed for Christmas. No matter how hard I talked I couldn't get her to put it back, I decided since it was a cheap buy one get one free toy, I would let her have it, instead of starting World War III. After that we went to Craigo's for some dinner, with the thought in mind that I could get a salad. Well I got the salad plus a piece of pizza plus 3 cinnamon sticks. I forgot they had those & I just can't resist them. How am ever going to lose 15 lbs before the end of January with that kind of will power? After dinner I decided we would skip the shopping thanks to Aspen, and go get a movie to watch at home. Then I remembered the movie Secretariat was playing at the cheep theater so we decided to do that instead. To kill some time we went to K-mart to get a bike that was on sale for $24.99 for Aspen & a coat for Carter. When I got to the check out the coat was on sale, but the bike didn't go on sale till Sunday, so I will have to go back next week for that. After that we went over to the movie. The movie was awesome, I loved it. One that I would definately get for my movie collection. Then we all came home & crashed in my bed.

This morning we got up and cleaned the house, bathrooms & all. Morgan & Aspen made some yummy sugar cookies, then we went over to Jared & Annie's to see the new baby Naomi. She is beautiful, with dark hair & chubby cheeks. After that we decided to stop at Stockmans Restaraunt to eat. That is one of my favorite places to eat, & since we had to pass right by it, how could I resist. I love their cajun mahi mahi. On the way home Aspen said "look mom there is Santa's reindeer." I said "they must be out practicing for Christmas, to make sure they can still pull the sleigh." Morgan thought that was hillarious. She is so funny when she gets laughing at something she thinks is funny, she can't stop. We were laughing most of the way home, I didn't even think it was that funny, but every time she started laughing I did too. Shawn called & said he was on his way home, he should be home about 11:00 pm. We are going to watch a chick flick called Eat, Pray, Love. I haven't heard much about it, but it sounds good.
